Hi All, I got stopped the other day by the Guardia civil (the Spanish traffic police) they said to me that the HBH GV435 that I had in my ear was not permitted to be used in Spain, he said you can only use proper hands free with a speaker and mic, I asked him why and told him these bluetooth headsets are made for driving, he said that both ears have to be “open” !!!!!! So you can hear the other traffic. What a load of shite, so Im not allowed to use a device that I can hear with both ears as the device does not go right into my ear BUT im allowed to install a 10000000000000 watt music system in my can that I cant hear fuc*ing anything. When I was in the UK last I was in a car that had a whatever watt music system and there was a fire engine right behind us and we couldn’t hear it. The copper said if you was using it I would nick you, take it out your ear and if I see you again with it I will nick you. I would love to take them idiots to the European courts and get there stupid law overturned, what’s the situation in the UK about handsfree and bluetooth headsets? |

In the UK there is going to be a new law at the end of February I think. The fine will go up from £30 to £60 and you will also get three points on license. This applies to even if you are holding any device like phone, PDA etc. No problems with bluetooth headsets though, in fact you're encouraged to use them.
