Jumping K750i phone |

My son-in-law's put his phone (Sony Ericsson K750i) onto his lounge mantelpiece.
After about 30 minutes, the phone leapt from the mantelpiece, across the room, a distance of approx 8 feet.
The vibration control was off.
It was on a flat surface
It was not next to any other electrical device.
There was no incoming call.
Nobody was touching it.
Has anyone else had the same experience or a rational explanation? |

A ghost did it. as simple as that. Is that time you've experienced an unusual thing like that? |

It's a new feature. When the phone rings, no matter were you are, it leaps into your hands...

are there pets at home? maybe a cat/dog pulled off the mantelpiece and made the k750 leapt away.
otherwise, call the GHOSTBUSTERS.

Let's go a bit more scientific: you know that the atoms of any object are in constant but random movement (Brownian movement). Now let's imagine that all of a sudden, most or all of the atoms would go in the same direction. Then the object would suddenly jump by itself.
This is perfectly reasonable, although the probability for this is of one chance in trillions of years or even less.

Maybe lightening hit the chimney stack and its pulse threw the mobi across the room? |

I did have my phone transfer itself from one car to another one once after an accident! I hit a car from behind after sliding on ice and my mobile ended up on the back seat of the vehicle in front of me. |
