for * use the keypad, left and right are movements, done by the joy or the joypad, according to the model. in your case, the joy

right means a single movement of your joystick to the right, or a single scroll wheel click anti clockwise on the symbian phones

similarly, left is a single movement of your josystick to the left, or a single scroll wheel click clockwise on the symbian phones

star is the * key on the bottom left of your keypad

so, left, star, star, left gives you access to lock information whereas right, star, left, star, star, left, star gives you access to the service menus of the phone

oo tht to unlock it is it? it says personalised with MNC2 and then goes to a network and network subset options - not sure what either of those are lol

MNC means Mobile Network Code, and if I scratch my head a little more I seem to recall that the length (2 or 3) is to unlock or lock the phone

essentially, if your phone is locked, this is where you can put the code that the network will give you when you pay them (£20 or similar) to unlock your phone
