Atron Joined: Jan 19, 2007 Posts: 3 PM	Posted: 2007-01-19 18:03 I have set up my hotmail email account to my Sony W810i, but every time I receive a new email, I get a message on my phone telling me I have a new email. While some of these emails may be important, there's also just as much spam. I'm not a user who needs to check every email as they come into my inbox. Does anyone know how to turn off the email notification? I'd rather just go in and check my email when I need to. Thanks!

Atron Joined: Jan 19, 2007 Posts: 3 PM	Posted: 2007-01-19 18:58 Tranced, thanks for your reply, but I'm not referring to the sound alerts (plus i don't have a messaging => email menu item on the w810). When I receive an email on my hotmail account, I get a screen with a Hotmail banner telling me that I have received x number of emails. This alert "wakes" up my phone's screen from sleep mode and lights up. So this happens even in the middle of the night when I'm getting spam from someone at 4 in the morning. Does anyone know how to turn this notification off without completely removing the account from my phone? Thanks in advance for any insight you might have!

I reject your reality and substitute my own.
Atron Joined: Jan 19, 2007 Posts: 3 PM	Posted: 2007-01-19 20:03 I think I got it! Thanks glorfingal. So there isn't a way to set this preference in your regular phone options. You have to go into the Email mode first, log into your email, then go to Preferences. This site is great!
