Please suggest me the most economical and efficient mobile for fast internet access on PC. I would require the following features only :
i. GPRS and EDGE
ii. Speaker phone

1. Nokia 6020 (EDGE Class6, upto 177.6kbps)
2. Nokia 6070 (EDGE Class6, upto 177.6kbps)
3. Samsung X630
4. Samsung X670
5. SE W300i
If 2nd hand fon is ok 4 u, I suggest Nokia 6630. It's EDGE nd 3G enabled nd is feature rich as a fon.

hop dat list helps. i think those are the cheapest phones with EDGE. but u shud confirm whether u can configure dose fons as modem to browse frm ur PC.

Hi Ali baba.. Thank you very much for the info..... But u have left me in a confusion.. I thought all GPRS/EDGE phones can be used as a modem.... How do I check it........ |

Call ur cust. care to confirm whether u hav EDGE at ur place and whether u can use the specific fon as a PC modem. They hav a database of handsets that r compatable with their data service.
