Hi All,
I recently changed from Nokia (used to be a loyal Nokia customer) to Sony Ericsson W850i.
I also swapped out my Nokia car kit for the Sony Ericsson Advanced Car Kit and have a few questions. If anyone can help, I'd be grateful.
1) When in the car kit holder, is there a way to stop the message alert sound? As it mutes the stereo to give me the message alert and it's a bit annoying whilst driving as I can read the message 
2) Also when in the car kit holder, is there a way to make the back light stay on permenantly?
3) Is there a way to set the phone to end the call when the slider is shut?
Other than the above, I'm very happy with the phone. Hopefully, if the above can't be done at the mo, Sony Ericsson will release these changes in the next software update.

You should be able to create a "Car "Profile, this way if you switch to the car profile, you can have the phone leave the light on, and probably turn off the SMS Alert. I've never toyed with the profiles much, but i know there are a lot of settings you can change.

I've profiles, but unfortunately there's not a whole lot you can change in there just ring volume, silent mode, call divert, vibrate, key sound etc
I used to use Profiles with my Nokia's. Hopefully Sony Ericsson will add a few options to the profiles that will allow us to do this in the future.
