Memory Stick Duo - FAT16 or FAT32? |

I've just bought a new 1GB Memory Stick Pro Duo for my SE K750i phone. Thing is, I was just wondering, would it be best to format this to FAT32? The 64MB card that came with my phone is only FAT12/16 (not sure which) - so would it be best to format the 1GB card - ie - are there any advantages/disadvantages?
Thanks for any information!

Why not let the phone format the card? |

It already is formatted out of the box isn't it? Or is there an option on the phone to format?
I was just wondering if there are any performance increases to be gained by using a different file system |

SO, back to the question: 16 or 32 FAT ? I am interested in that too!
However, in the end I let the phone format it because only the phone will format it with the necessary sub/directories for use in that particular phone.

when you format a msd/mspd with the file manager option: Format Ext. Mem, it turns into FAT. maybe am wrong maybe not.

Tranced,
You're right, it does indeed use FAT and not FAT32. I think I'll just leave it as it is for now, but I'd definitely be interested still to know if there are any benefits in changing to FAT32 (or even if the phone would be able to read it in this format) as I remember a problem with using FAT on hard disks always was that files take up more space than they should, space which was saved when using FAT32 and I'm wondering if this would be the case on my memory stick.
