I am trying to sync my contacts from os X to the Z710i. I can either use os X and bluetooth or the usb and XP.
I can sync contacts but it will not sync their emails or pictures, since this is primarily what I want its frustrating.
I've tried sending the card as a file, but then it either adds a contact again without email or picture or it just adds it and it sits there as a file.
any suggestions on how I can accomplish this would be great.

Hi, and welcome to Esato!

Picture syncing is not supported by iSync for any Sony Ericsson phones except for the Pxxx series.

You can get a proper iSync 2.3 Phone Plugin for the Z710 from here:

http://mobile.feisar.com/plugins.html

This will allow you to use iSync to synchronize your Mac and Phone contact and calendar information.
It will sync multiple email addresses, multiple phone numbers, birthday, web address, home and work addresses, notes etc.

Manually sending vCards is not synchronizing!

Thanks!

Is it supported by XP or is there software to sync Vcards with pictures in XP?
I only need to do it once so it wouldn't be a continous sync, I have gone from a 50$ pay and talk phone that died to this one, so I need to download all contacts and was hoping to include the pictures.

I was hoping that I could then open the Vcards while mucking about in it since osX reads it as a disk.

Sorry, I know nothing about Windows XP.

On my Mac I just manually send contact pictures to the phone, and the assign them to contacts in the phone. As you say you only need to do it once.
