I have been keeping an eye out for 2gb M2 memory sticks - they've recently popped up on mobymemory.com. I sent them an email asking about shipping but the Royal Mail Air sure doesn't come to Australia and the hopeless fools refuse to use Royal Mail Airmail

Does anyone know a company who will ship the 2gb sandisk M2 to Australia selling at a similar price to mobymemory (about 45quid)? Expansys are the only other ones I've found and they're charging a bit more, about 55quid I think it was.... which as I'm sure you're all aware translates to a difference of about three million Australian dollars...

Thanks!

might be worth a chat to Organiser World to see when they expect them

btw, if you order from Expansys UK you can deduct the 17.5% VAT so it might not be as expensive as you think

otherwise, I just got back to UK from Sydney this morning but I'll be home again on 2nd March and I can bring some and post locally as I'm sure you'll not be the only one wanting these, and I can also get the VAT back when leaving Europe which keeps the cost down

That'd be a really good idea - the 2gb cards are about $150 in stores here in Aus, that's if you can find one... they might be more common by then but still, you'd probably offload a lot of them.

I'd like mine earlier than that though, hoping to get it in the next couple of weeks.

Re: the VAT, would that mean that I'd deduct the VAT from the ~45quid price at mobymemory as well? That'd make it super cheap!

yeah, anyone sending out of EU should deduct the VAT but just remember that you might get hit with GST as it comes into aus depending on how its been packaged/shipped

anyway, keep me in mind if I can help nearer the time

Shop around, i'm sure you'll find something. Recently an photography shop were selling Micro SD cards with a 75% reduction as a stock clearout.
Seeming as it is January, sales are on everywhere unless you don't have January sales in Australia like here in the UK.
