Question: Interest in phones for sale - W900i Black & W950i. |

Basically, im unsure which phone i want right now, I have previously been using a sim free unlocked black w900i which is a fantastic phone for my walkman needs, but I have just upgraded to a w950i (supplied sim free and unbranded!) which works amazingly well with my ds970 bluetooth headphones BUT I miss having a camera!
I cant use the w900i anymore as i refuse to go back to fastport connectors and silly cables for my music needs, i need a phone which works with my sexy headphones, so I guess my best bet is the silver james bond k800i (massive james bond fan!) as this works with my headphones and has a camera.
Downside of k800i? Its a bit chunky, doesnt match ds970 headset colour wise and the m2 cards cost a fair bit and i need at least 2 gig of memory, not to mention having to use a standard media player instead of the walkman features! Ideally i would like to use my w900 with the headset but sony are mean and wont release new software to make it work which is a shame!
So what does everyone think i should do? Would a black w900i create interest as i know its not a common phone and still feature packed, and would it fetch a good price? Also, the w950i, what kind of prices would i be offered, bearing in mind its sim free, ebay shows £200+.
Sorry to waffle on
Opinions are very welcome etc.

Depends where you are selling them .. on Ebay the W950i should fetch around £220/£240 and if the W900i is in good condition you can expect £200 plus for that as well just because it's black.
Expect to be offered considerably less here though

I'll certainly remember your name fatreg, no problem.
mike p: why DO phones here go for less? is it cause we are all such wonderful unique SE fans that we like to trade our handsets for a fair price as we feel the love? I can feel the love, ohhh yea! lol.
Anyway, yes, £200? Maybe I should hold onto it for a few years... get my grandson to take it on antique roadshow in 50 years lol

Sod the love .. I prefer the money in my pocket
The last 2 black W900i's that I had sold on Ebay for £249.99 + postage .. that was on buy it now and they were on there for less than 3 days.

i dont doubt your honesty and id happily pop it on to ebay for a BIN of 250, but this one:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/RARE-BL[....]eNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Is only on a hundred odd so far, so why buy mine at £250?
then again, read the listing!
"it has all the the ass. with it in the box."
"the w900i is compatable with a nokia n91."
nice to know lol

Mine were about 5 months ago and Buy it now will always make more money than the auction .. as long as you are prepared to wait.
People using buy it now usually dont like to hang around until the end so if the phone is worth that amount to them then they are prepared to pay it.
You may only get 1 in 500 that are prepared to pay top money but they know what they are looking for and with a rare phone in top condition they will pay.
Saying that I'm happy to give you a "hundred odd" for yours

why is a black w900i worth so much? I had a few of them a few months back and the sale price was like £150 I think, possibly less... they are big bulky phones which don't do more then a w800i other then the video recording...
Check out my sales I am a mac fanboy . I will honor Laffens gift of P990 flip free avartar, but I sold the p990 |

Black is very rare in the UK .. think it was only released by O2 and not many people liked the phone when it first came out.

Ok mike, thank you. I might well try it, im in no rush to sell it. And yes, I'll sell it you for a few hundred odd.... thousand that is!
Why is the w900 good? Because people ask me when im out and about "excuse me what phone is that??" and its an auto swish opener like a samurai sword, and.... ermmm. it looks cool? and the bad guy in casino royale had one!
its just a cool, differant type of phone. its so comfy to hold when its open on long conversations.
