MarkJason, are you sure you flashed it back to the correct firmware?

Also, do you have to flash your firmware every time before and after you edit something?
|
|
I'm assuming you do?

Yup! i flashed it with my old firmware... R1CA01... In the tutorial, we have basically the same phone, cid, color, etc... except for the firmware. I've done what was in the tutorial... But i can't turn on my phone... Tried charging it... it won't charge... |

are you sure?
thats very troublesome... right after every tweaks we have to re-flash it?
i thought the first flash will retain and we can start using CID49 the normal way as CID36.
clarifications please!

I tried repeating the procedure... flash again with the r2e ssw file with phonexs... connecting to far manager.... and i looked at the camdriver0.dat which i replaced on the first try. It's still the driver that i put it in... Super camera driver 8.52, i would know coz of the date of the file... |

That's kinda what I was hoping for.. Because I don't feel like flashing it every time I want to change something.
Maybe 3rick can confirm if this is true?

@ Tranced - How do you finalize phones? Coz in his tutorial, he didn't mentioned it. After doing the tutorial, my GDFS is somewhat altered. |

People, unfortunatelly you MUST do this process EVERY SINGLE time you want to change stuff on your cel!
This is what happens : with that ssw file you flash a little part of the firmware so it can make Far Manager have access to FS and Flash folders of your cel!!
While you are with this ssw file flashed you canīt turn on your phone because it wonīt work!
So after editing stuff you must flash the part of the firmware that was changed to the way it was , with the file that are in the REST folder!!
Hope i clarified a bit! |

You donīt need to finalize!
You just need to flash back the firmware you are with the file that is in the REST folder!!
If you donīt make this just like itīs on the tutorial it wonīt work!
Also if you can still acces the FS folder itīs because you didnīt flash back correctly! |

I followed all your steps correctly. Just like what i've said earlier, mine is almost exact copy of your phone, only the firmware that's different. But anyway i fixed my problem already! A few minutes ago! I just flashed it with a different firmware from a guy from another forum. He was teaching about how to recover a K750i CID49 R1CA01... Thank God for him... and to you to... for the experience... hehehe!!! Btw, i have changed my camera and display drivers. Thanks again! |

Good to hear that!!
I just want to remember that this process works if you do exactly the same , if you forget to remove your battery in one case itīs likely that it wonīt work later!!
Also the final part which is flashing back the firmware is really important , must be done with FAR and the RIGHT file that represents your currently firmware!! |

Well, youīve flashed it with an older firmware than you had!
Thereīs a post here about the K750i/W800 Firmware that says what are the diferences!
Abou the hanging on the Far manager :
Have you installed the correctly plugin and add the files from den_po ?!?!
Are you sure you selected the right script for your phone : k750i_W800_CID49 ??? |
