Can anyone help me please? I want to set up my k800i for emails. I want to use either o2 emails or hotmail. Is there any was 2 set this up? If so can someone provide me with the details on how 2 do so. Cheers

Follow that and you'll received a few SMS which will automatically install the settings on to your phone.

I have already tried usin that 2 set it up. I receive the settings ok but the email just wont send or recieve

@jaaydon - mine's sending and receiving via O2 UK quite happily.
I'll try and dig out the "how and where and why" I used to set it up
for you .........

hhmmmm can't find it so here's mine ....

Account:O2
connect: o2 gprs
email address: "your o2 e-mail address in full"
connection type: pop3
incoming server: mail.o2.co.uk
username: "your o2 email address in full"
password: ********
outgoing server: smtp.o2.co.uk

In the advanced bit I have
allow connection to any network and ports are 110 in and 25 out.
I reject your reality and substitute my own.

Found out why it wasnt working. For the username it was just the first part of my email address, not off al it

now that's weird - if i don't have all the address for username it
doesn't connect - says invalid username or password !!!
My imap4 connect is like yours though ..... odd !

I mean it didnt have the full email address before, thats why it wasnt working

I have put the full email address as my username now and it works a treat

Now just need to find someone to email [addsig]
