Ok well i was reading about the language files on the chinese language support thread when i decided to try it out myself, only i needed japanese and not chinese and seeing that they were just using ttf files i thought hey why not, i have japanese fonts.
The only japanese font in true type i have is arial unicode, a 20 meg file.
i stuck it in d:\resource\fonts and it turns out that fonts are one of the things that the phone loads into ram on startup. now when the phone switches on and loads the stuff into ram it just resets because there's not enough ram. anyone got any ideas on how to fix it?

Flashing with SEUS doesn't seem to really start the phone, so you should try that. Since you can't make backups though (phone must be on for that), any personal data on the phone will be lost forever, I.E. Factory Reset.
If you have very important data on the phone (Like contacts or WAP settings), I suggest you contact a service center and ask them if they can fix it. Since it's not an old phone, that might not be the case.

@Firetech
When you say everything, do you mean themes as well?
I have a backup of my contacts and as for wap settings, I can get them again. The only thing I'm concerned about are the bundled themes.
When you start the update, must your phone be off? (Sorry, a noob at flashing phones)
One more thing, the font file is on my D drive (the 4Gig one), will flashing it format that drive? If not I dont see it helping.

I really dont want to take it into the service provider. The idiots here only know how to stuff up the phones. My bro took in his V800 so that they could replace the keypad, when he got it back his camera wasn't working and the signal quality had gone down the drain(it would reconnect every 2-5min).

@Ofiaich
Thanks, I'd appreciate that.

You are welcome !

http://shop.psiloc.com/en/

works for me.

Japanese songs with Kanji and Okurigana in the tiltles and artists info,do not display in the media player. The song titles and artists names only show as boxes.

But email, address book etc etc are all good!

Sigh! Just tried SEUS and it just tells me the firmware is up to date. Seems like I'm going to have to take it into the idiots at my service provider.

Surely you can stick the card in any cheap card reader, remove the font file and the problem should be solved.

Have you tried starting up with your card removed?

It's got no card, only 4 Gig internal memory. If I could remove it, I would.

OOPS

Damn my brain. It says W950i but my brain turned it into P990i.

I wish this forum had separate phone sections.

@simpsons he cant turn it on

No point going to SE, as you have altered the phone they wont fix it. Use something like SE Tool to reflash it. If you dont have access to it you may be scuppered as they are the only ones who can flash it atm.
