Ahoy!
I'd like to use use integrated IM feature with SmartVAS. However, when i hit more>accounts to set it up, the only fields that are listed are domain, password, server, internet profile, auto-login and message alert. i.e. There is no username field. I've tried just filling in these fields, but when i hit log in i get the message "messenger configuration incomplete. complete now?" Y'all got any ideas? |

Vodafone wont let you. To use the integrated IM you have to debrand. Otherwise a Java App like Reporo works well.

Thanks. So there is definately supposed to be a username field there?
I know IM is the sort of thing networks don't like but I think it would be strange to remove a config field to cripple it rather than just remove the IM menu entirely, as i gather has been done on some branded k750i's.
Btw, I'd love to debrand, but i'm not up for voiding my warrenty, not least because of the risk of bricking my phone if something goes wrong.

The usename would be your Smartvas one. Doesnt voda have its own IM service?

Yes. Voda has its own messenger which requires a voda id

Yup, let's get rid of that branding, nobody really wants anyway.
