ESATO is gone? |

I'm in Indonesia. I usually browse these following links via Opera Mini, of GPRS connection, without problems. I can read and reply to posts easily.
http://mobile.esato.com
http://www.esato.com
However, since two days ago, I haven't been able to get connected to any of them, which is very weird. Opera Mini always says either 'request timed out' or it displays blank white page. I tried different SIM-Card, it remained the same. I thought it was because the Taiwan quake effect which crippled South East Asia internet connection, yet, why can I browse Google,Gmail, Yahoo, SE site and other websites WITHOUT any problems? Why not with Esato? I tried to retype Esato address carefully, no, it didn't work at all. I wonder what's wrong with my Opera Mini and Esato.
Anyway, I began thinking that Esato was experincing troubles. Once again I was wrong. I came across www.skweezer.com and surprise surprise! I typed mobile.esato.com ,and skweezer loaded Esato successfully! I wonder why? Why wasn't I able to load esato directly from Opera Mini address box? Why did I managed to load Esato via Skweezer? This is very weird for me. Could someone tell me why?
Yes, I'm posting this via 'Esato on Skweezer window'. Thanks. |

I too am facing problems connecting to esato and some other sites. I get a "request timed out" error frequently... This definitely seems to be caused by the taiwan quake.

As you must know by now this is due to the Taiwan earthquake 26/12/2006 where Asia internet collapse. Most sea optical cable between US and Taiwan is broken. Indonesia bandwidth has been cut to 17% and now start recovering. I still cant access gmail from computer (cable internet). However I can connect through K800i with satelindo gprs. Cheers. |

I guess it's just here in my country. Anyway, has anyone tried esato via Opera Mini?
@hanugro:
I have no problems with other sites at all. I just can't get connected to mobile.esato.com. That's a problem for me. I have the same provider as you do-Mentari GPRS by Indosat. I have to load esato via transcoding site like Skweezer. Have tried Telkomsel GPRS, no problem to browse and download. Just Esato is still gone. Why is it only Esato? That's my inquiry.. |

Sorry, I got unlimited SOHO cable internet and that is expensive. So I try not doing much browsing through gprs/3g. Don't want to pay more for internet. I just visit bbc mobile for Liverpool FC/world news and gmail when not near my computer. |

This is weird. My K800i built-in Netfront LOADS esato just perfectly! No problems at all. I have re-installed my Opera Mini. Problems remain the same. I always get 'request timed out'. Other sites are just OK. Google, Yahoo, Gmail, mobile-review and many more I tried LOADED smoothly. It's the Opera Mini I think.. |
