Hello everyone this is my first post!

I've had a T68i for about 5 months now and it used to have the R2B025 firmware. Having read a lot of the esato posts, i decided to visit CPW to get the R5D007 version. At first it was quite good- a few changes like louder SMS tone, different functions of slide switch & joystick during txting, push inbox and so on (its not faster through menus though). But since then, i've noticed that the phone freezes so easily in areas of low reception! (it always does it on the tube). It now &again resets itself so it just says 'enter pin'. I was a bit annoyed (as last yr i had a 6210 that had its fair share of software updates) &so took it 2 CPW oxford st to ask em to put an older firmware on it to get rid of this problem & now they've sent it away for 2 weeks. I'm having to use my trusty Z7 but it feels weird using a jog dial and a mono screen again!

I reckon anybody thinking of upgrading their version should be careful. If your phone is utterly trustworthy, then dont bother changing it as R5D007 has very few advantages.

the problems you have experienced with R5D can be caused by so much different things... I have used R5D since it was released, no reboots and no freezes, and I have had it powered on 24/7....

When the phone comes back, i'll let u guys know if it really is a software prob or something else!

Im guessing it is a bug cos (apart from talking on it) that's the only thing thats happened to it over the past few weeks.

Could it be caused by transferring files over from the computer ? (cos i regularly change themes on it)

I have that problem too when the network signal is weak. You need to have your phone calibrated. Just ask the service point about this. I assume this happens because the phone is busy getting a signal. If it resets, i just turn it off and take out the battery for a few seconds. Upon power up, everything is back to normal. I haven't had free time to go back to have my phone recalibrated. Hope this helps. :-D

Another bug i found is when you save a number from a text message. It sometimes adds an additional character after the last digit like an *.
