Today for the first time i get an error because the are to many files in my t68mi,

"Too many files, Delete one or more items in a category of your choice"
although i have 61kb free space
I have 202 ringotes, 6 themes 96 picture, 8 mms's , and sms phone memory is 93%full
all including default
Does that mean that the the t68i uses address busses, not proper memory management..

There probably is some maximum depending on how the file system is managed in the phone. It may be a fixed maximum based on the address length but it might simply be a certain amount of memory reserved to store the file names.

You could find out easily enough at this point - try deleting some large files and then adding some smaller files. Do you still hit the max at the same number of files. Or try renaming some files with shorter names and then adding one more. Does it let you do that?

Thanks if you can do some experimenting - it would be interesting to figure this one out...

Whoa! 202 ringtones!!??

I bet you only use all of like 3 of them don't ya?

I know they don't take up much space individually but when you got that many the space they take up just keeps going up and up!

open the file (ringingtone or background) u wanna delete and press on the C.

T68 series give u a more flexi option on the memory. it allow u to save whatever thing u want without restricting how many more u can save until the total memory out.

it's just like harddisk in ya computer. even it look big but don't try to put everything inside. do some house keeping once in awhile. try to save those u seldom use file into computer.

i have a friend have deleted all his background, theme, and others. only remain the ringingtone.

until now he had store up to 400+ ringingtone and still remain 200+KB

amazing huh?

If you were trying to download an animated GIF, the reading on your phone may be inaccurate regarding memory size if the GIF uses transparencies (it may only be 16k on a PC but it may be a magnitude bigger on your phone).

This uses up colossal amounts of memory on the phone for some reason, if you remove the transparency properties the size of the animated GIF reduces.

Were you loading a file that was bigger than the amount of free space available on your phone? That would give you the please delete message.
