Really. Oddly enough, nearly all the music on my W810 is in .aac format. I use iTunes to convert them into .aac. If you dont have iTunes just ask a friend who has an iPod to lend you the iTunes CD along with their iPods serial no. to be able to install the software.

The w810 doesn't support wav or wma. Why? Because...
1) WAV is stupendously naff quality compared to mp3
2) WMA is windows media audio, which as far as I'm aware is not compatible with any SE stuff.
It is annoying, but just get nero premium and recode evrything to mp3. Works a treat.

The w850i has no problem with WMA.using the disc included with the phone i have been able to transfer from "My Music" to the phone no problem.
Some do use "Audiograbber" though i thinks it is a bit long-winded but it does work well.
others have done it - you can to! |

To correct you there, .wav is superior in quality to mp3 and probably every other format. This is because it remains uncompressed unlike mp3. You're probably thinking it's terrible because it's mainly used for recordings. Mp3 is more widely used as it is smaller in size wheras .wav is HUGE because of not being a compressed file resulting in better quality.

WAV proberbly has the best quality and it does work on W810i you just need to make sure the sampling rate isnt too high (i cant remember the exact rate) and the format is Windows PCM based
WAV is uncompressed Audio like the BITMAP of picrues, the quality is far superior but results in large files. you should keep over 128kbs and under 270 for MP3(any higher will give your phone problems loading the tracks)
WMA on the other hand might have required sony to get a lisence or something and as far as im aware doesnt work on any SE or many other phones for that matter
I can only reccomend converting your files to MP3 since these are compatible with any audio device now again try using about 192kbps.
