k800i Problems |

I had this weird problem with my new k800i
It sometimes appear in a language that i do not understand like f408 and others.
I had just send it to the service center and got it back but the problem is still there. does anyone know wat i can do about it? |

Yep confirm. I think this is what some ppl said as binary text menu error (I think it may be a code that SE use to map each menu with multi language text in the database/like a primary key coding). I have R1ED and it appear occasionally. Some ppl said it because of older EROM (mine is R3A011). |

erm that is wat appear in my phone. but is there anyway of solving it? it is a software bug? mine is R1ED001. |

I think we need to wait for new firmware release by SE to fix this. What is your EROM (different than firmware) version? My firmware also R1ED001 but my EROM is older R3A011 (some said newer is R3A016).

my EROM R3A016 with firmware R1ED001 - so far no such problem except i have experience the navigation shortcut reset to it's default by itself once. my phone is 24hrs old - is this a known bug? |

Well, I think it is a known bug as well. But you only got 24hr to play and not likely to find a bug in such a short time. I hope R3A016 fixes that occasional binary text menu bug. |

yes i am kinda worry with all those dead k800 post ......apparently the vendor told me to remember to wait awhile when switching off or on the phone before unplugging the charger or wot wait awhile after shutdown to remove sim - according to him this is the main cos of wsod. |

hi my firmware is r1ed001 and my erom is r3a016 i'm still getting the binary menu about twice a week. it's kinda annoying but what can we do but wait for the updates....

Darn, I think R3A016 solved it. I guess we have to wait for new firmware. Anyway my wife Z610i with R1ED001 and R3A016 EROM also experience it as well. |

mine is R1ED001 and R3A016 EROM too but having that bug for almost everyday. |

r1ed001 with r3a016 (eu_5 generic) and mine doesn't do it, well not yet
and it's 3 months old.

Beside this problem, i have other very annoying problems such as contact ringtone not working, phone always restart when try to run java application.
