Hi Guys,
11 Months ago I purchased a D600 on my £20 per month o2 online tariff for only £79.95 not a bad price back then, but anyhows nearr the time again to upgrading myphone ive made some enquiries to o2 online about prices of these phones eg the
N73 £179.99
K800i £129.99
Z650i £199.99
Im really disgusted what the hell is going on how can a Samsung Z650i be more than a Silver K800i? when thats only got a 2.0MP Camera
I then phoned my local o2 shop they Quoted me £135 for that Samsung still £5 more than the K800i lol
does anyone have any light into whats happening with the Upgrade prices??? cos atm it really seems pointless having a contract especially when prepay phones are near enough the same price as the contract upgrades
Ps, let me just say ive also changed my contract so im now paying £25 per month, even that makes no difference it seems in a reduction

It's not about how much your contract is... The networks make there money when you go over you preset bill!

Go through to the disconnections dept and ask for your pac code. Your upgrade should get a lot better then.

Burgaz is correct.
With 02. If your monthly bill is £50 or more per month (including line charge + calls,SMS etc) for 6 consecutive months they then put you as a 02 Select customer.
This entitles you to:
10% discount on accessories purchased from 02
Early upgrade of your handset (up to 3 months early)
Free calls to their customer care centre in the UK
Tarrif review every 3 months
There is some other things but I dont have the card with me atm
The condition is that your monthly bill must not drop below £50 per month.

They charged me £10 for a 3g sim card, I really wanna stay with o2 but there getting way to expensive. I got told if I was paying £35 per mth id get a free Z650i you guys paying that £40 should get a free phone no both.

They charged you for a 3g sim card Kerry ?????
They sent mine for free after I bought my K800.
When I did my upgrade I was ofered the following (my monthly bills inc calls, sms, gprs usage etc are £70 per month)
K800 - Free
W850 - Free
P990 - £50
They were the only phone I'd asked about. I went for the W850 as I'd already got the K800 and 02 couldn't give a definite date on when I'd get the P990.

I've been on contract with orange for 10years now and when i asked them to upgrade my 2G sim to a 3G sim (without buying a 3G handset from them) they told me to sod off! The only way i can get one from them is by upgrading to a 3G handset.... So think yourselves lucky! |

Andy yeah,
they put this charge on because I had a replacement sim card a few months ago due to a blocked phone which mucked my sim card up I can't really argue over that, im just abit shocked on how much phones have gone up, o2 give discounts when you upgrade rather than go online and pay £200 for that Samsung which I want i'd rather go to the shop cos they've quoted me £135 for it, who knows if im lucky I might get more of it!!!!
I really only wanted to pay £20 per month line rental,
I think im gunna try my luck with them saturday morning on the phone again, they did tell me I could have a discount but I had to upgrade first, but ive changed my tariff thats the thing so I don't know if this applies fingers cross't btw
I also asked o2 if they could give me a block on my phone if it reached over £40 what they told me was no they don't do that, pretty ovious they want you to get into trouble like everything else
BTW this new tariff would be good if I could get it reduced I mean for £25 per month ive got 1000 off peak calls after 7pm to any network, 500 free text messages, I can also send MMS fre with those but it uses up 4 Texts to do that
I do hope something good comes out with there tariffs eventually
200 anytime minutes and 500 free texts plus 5MB free of GPRS would be boshahhh lmao!
Andy I can't believe you pay that much, you must have more money then sense
Leight, Why don't you come to the "o2 side" :lol;
I think orange contracts are pants.
