Luckily that phone is illegal to have in Europe and a couple of small provinces in Canada because it has 9-1-1 as a speed dial.

the emergency number could always be dailed even if network has not coverage, or has no sim
back in the old days you could change the 911 number using a datacable at some samsung phones so you make free calls, to bad that's not possible anymore

if so you might want to rethink that statement..
i know many old people that an insanely clever, granted they cant use a moble but on the flipside i cant use a morse code machine so its all good.
