When I try to connect with the Mobile Network Wizard created connection, it says "PPP link connection Finalized" or something like that (I'ts on spanish), 'coz phone's GPRS PROXY sets as PC IP address, so Personal (Operator) refuses that connection... But if I Make a new connection using my phone as modem, i dial *99# (it's the unique gprs profile in my phone) and put username and password, click on connect, and connection goes on, it connects... But if I open IExplorer, when I put any address, it stands "Looking for www.page.com" and don't opens anything... When I open OExpress, itstands "Searching Host"... and don't download anything.. I've searched on the web, but nothing was a solution...
HELP ME PLEASEEEE..!!
Excuse my english, I'm 14 from Argentina..!!

Ask a friend with another Sony Ericsson on the same provider to lend you his phone. Copy the settings or put in your SIM card and you´re good to go.

As someone say just borrow someone mobile with working gprs and copy its setting. It is quite hard since you must know exactly detail like proxy's IP address, port number, whether use username/password, method of authentication, etc. Use just one wrong setting then you can't use it. |

But i can use that gprs profile on my K510 and it works pretty well!!! If i send a sms to 111, with 'g' in msg, they send me the correct gprs config, BUT, it won't be free!!!... With normal gprs i can connect perfectly... But it's so so much expensive!!!

Sorry, I didn't hear your problem correctly. I thought you want to use gprs in your mobile.
To sum it up you need to use networking wizard and use your mobile phone as gprs modem. You can't use it because the wizard must ask for proxy while your 'free' gprs account do not use proxy? Is that correct?
I never use networking wizard so can't help you there. Hopefully someone can. |

Nono!!! I want to use my mobile as modem for my pc... The gprs account uses gprs but when i connect with mobile nw. It sets proxy as machine's IP... And my operator refuses connection... But if I don't config that it will connect but cannot receive any data... It understands???

Well, isn't that what I said in the second paragraph? I think I may misunderstand you. You already can use BOTH your 'free' and 'pay' gprs in your mobile, right. And the problem is just using 'free' gprs from PC? Can you use 'pay' gprs from PC?
By saying proxy as machine IP do you mean Networking wizard change your PC's (machine) IP address to your provider proxy IP? That won't work. Why don't you manually configure IP in your PC to something like 192.168.1.x with subnet mask 255.255.255.0 and then put PC's DNS address with your provider's proxy address. Edit: Put your default gateway your provider's proxy address as well.
Also do you use WinXP networking wizard or Sony Ericsson networking wizzard? Is there any different between your 'free' gprs and 'pay' gprs setting in the phone?

YEAH you're right!!! I can use pay gprs on my pc... I've tried both XP wizard and and mnw... But i can't connect with free... I tried to put any IP address and submask... Exactly the same you say... But Personal don't accept fixed IP's and won't connect...

Personal you mean XP Home? Home has some less networking capabilities. It can't use MS domain system for example but it should accept manual IP config.
Can't really help you here since I never use Home. Have you tried it on someone else XP Pro.
Sorry don't remember how IP setting must be (I may mislead you in earlier post) . It's been 6 years since my network class and I don't work in IT, so forget a little bit. I think the problems is that you computer IP is not recognized as member of your provider IP address. I don't really know how GPRS really work (whether telcos give IP address to each phone or not). So basically your computer must use IP address that is part of the proxy's IP address network (same subnet mask). How to get that IP address I really don't know. Your 'free' and 'pay' GPRS may be on different subnet (so you can't really used IP from one network and use it on the other).

Ok.. Let's see
Personal is my Mobile Network Provider (like Vodafone, Orange...)
I'm Using Windows XP SP2 (Pro)
This is my GPRS Profile config:
DATA ACCOUNTS: PERSONAL-MMS
APN:mms
USER:mms
PASS:mms
IP: ...
DNS: ...
INTERNET PROFILES: GPRS FREE
Connect using: Personal-MMS
Use Proxy: Yes
Proxy Address: 172.025.007.031
Proxy Port: 8080
done!!...
With that profile I connect with Opera Mini, Mig33, Built-in Browser and no trouble!... It works Perfectly...
When I enter to Sony Ericsson Mobile Network Wizard, I Select "Get Config from Phone" or something like that... So I put User and Pass and it Makes me an Account in XP's Network Connections... So, I connect, and Ping to Google and not response...
BUT!! if I Connect with normal GPRS, It connect well and works perfectly
NORMAL GPRS is the same, BUT!! instead of mms in apn is gprs.personal.com and user & pass aren't the same, AND Proxy isn't set..!
Well... Sorry My Englishhhh!!!
