why you ppl get upset very fast..?
everytime nokia release new mobiles some ppl come and say
SE is gone with the wind.. specially after the new
6 mobiles from nokia.
first of all , there is no other company do as what nokia do.. they realse a new mobile every month with i think its little bit stupid, cuz
as a customer i will feel that my mobile is old after 2 months..
also everytime they make new ( i ) mobiles . for example 6310, 6310i
they do not only change the sofware as SE, or other brands , the always release the ( i ) mode shortly after releasing the original one
with hardware upgrade , which make the one who bought it on the
first time a stupid cuz he paid more for a phone who got old very fast.
i addmit the SE is making us wait for long time , but i think this is
the silence before the storm. and i can bit on this... |

I absolutely agree with u,
especially the statement "this is the silence before the storm".
Even the Nokia wins the high-end segment,
SE will not lose completely as T100 and T300 will bring it success.
Some people may blame on the design of SE phones, always say they are ugly, at the same time saying Nokia phones are pretty beautiful.
But in fact, many of my friends, who are Nokia phone users,
tell me that they hate the design of new Nokia phones......
Simply because they are ugly in their opinion. |

I tend to agree with you acually.
Every time a new Nokia is released it's not such a big deal, they release new phones "all the time" anyway.
on the other hand is keeping us all in suspence, for some maybe too long, but for those who know phones, and trust their quality, the wait is just a proof that they want to make sure the product is top class.
I'll wait for the P800 till it comes, I've got plenty of time...

As has been stated elsewhere SE are currently ranked about fifth on sales, Nokia are streets ahead.
The more pertinent question is whether SE will be able to improve their position in the top five. They don't stand a chance of beating Nokia purely in terms of handsets sold. |

i`m staying on SE no matter what...
only one thing...SE should make the phone just like T68 only with better screen [4069 or maybe 65k colors] and some new functions java and stuff...and the success is here again...cuz i do not know any other phone in shape and stuff than the legendary T68...
and just one more thing...does anyone know when the T68j comes ? |

Well guys...
You missed the upgrade from T68 to T68i!!! So even SE added an i to one of their models. Ok, It's just a simple software difference... But still.
When I got my T68 I was very happy... Cause I knew it was the best mobile phone at that time. And then I thought... no more Nokia for me and for others.... SE is going to rule!!! But for some reason SE haven't released the more advanced model of that phone (P800 not included). When I went to a presentation of SE they said that they really wanted to rule the mobile phone market. If they want to want to become the leader in the mobile phone market, they really have to introduce some new models... Even if we had to wait another 3 months for it.
SE be fast or you will lose the competition.
Cheers

S.E will win the battle eventually, if it keeps up to T68i success. tell me any phone in this world have users discussing it for 2 + years?? guess only T68i has the power!
Nokia's phone come and go without making a statement, except for 8810.
Ericsson has its GH388 to T39 to T68 success.
Ericsson just really needs to come out with a flip phone with T68 features and integrated camera, polyphony and 65000 colors TFT screen. Thats it.
As for Nokia, Just need to come out with Nokia 8910ic --> Nokia 8910 design with color screen + an integrated camera at the back when the phone slides out... imagine... totally cool i must say.
Nokia ( enjoy consumer success ) will stay at 1st place for another 2 years, ericsson ( enjoy tech success ) definitely 2nd soon.
Regards,

i honestly believe that s.e. is one of the phone makers of all time... but when i see the price current s.e. phone like the t68i... it went down really hard... i bought mine for like 23 thousand pesos and now if i'm goin' to check the price of a bnew one... in greenhills it would only cost about 12thousand... damn... how come s.e. phones have no resale value... nywyz as i have ask the people in ghills virramall, they wouldnt accept trade-in of s.e. phones... everythings nokia... how i hate nokia... |

What's this question?? Are they fighting?
It sounds like Manchester United playing against Romsey village team
SE number one is science fiction... unless Nokia buys SE Anyway SonyEricsson remains still too much like Sony and Ericsson product-wise. There is no real product born from the symbiosis of these two companies. All of them are merely a SonyEricsson sticker on a Sony or on an Ericsson phone. The P800 is the first attempt of a SE device but...
SE needs to find their identity... very soon and clearly decide where to go. There is yet no identifiable mainstream through their product line, except the logo. But I guess they're working on it
Now, regarding new products from them, I wouldn't expect anything new before quite a few months, except a successor to T68i, as they have renewed their product line recently and they can't afford competing with themselves. [Edit: Well the news from this Swedish newspaper actually indicates the opposite, I'm wrong ]
Samsung number two/one is already closer to reality (though they don't have any low-end phones)

I don't think is becoming no 1 in a long time eigther.
What I think should stribe to continue to do is keep on making good quality phones.

i agree with you that SE will not be number one at least for the next
coming years, but who knows what will happen when the 3G comes out.
now all what we can hope that they will come with new great phones
so they can take bigger share ..
