SE phones voted most unreliable on the market |

Well there was a actical on the news in which a study conducted all phones by companies like ericsson, nokia, philips, panasonic, lg, samsung etc and SE won the worst in reliability and quality. The survey found so many software errors along with hardware issues. The award went to Nokia, as the most reliable and value phone on the market along with Philips and Samsung. So it looks like SE are not going to be that strong in the Australian market, they also experainced the worst customer relations over all the other companies. There were on average 1/3 faulty phones found across the country and bought at different times. Most problems occured with the later models such as T39, T65 and T68. So all you SE lovers like me this is a bit of a shock. |

Thats what i thought but it was conducted by the Australian telecomunications inc. The thing is, it made news as the number of large organisations are loosing millions a year as faulty phones and lost calls from clients ect. I must admit I am the same, I have lost a few grand from clients etc as my SE turns itself of all the time and yeah. But still recon SE is great, but maybe not anymore. |

wat a load of crock!!!
what's the sampling size of the survey group....was it conducted under controlled circumstances etc.....so many questions left unanswered.....
i can personally name a few nokia models that were so ridden with bugs, you'll think they r using it as a petri dish for bug cultivation....sheesh!!!

@Tezza, may we know the URL/website of your source? Admittedly, I had a share of some problems with my T39. Good thing most of them are solved/fixed by now. SE badly needs to improve on their software/hardware quality checks as well as their after sales service. :-l

Funny enough SE was voted number one manufacturer of the year by the "TelecomHandel" - a tabloid for phone resellers and shops. German phone dealers gave SE best grades for after sales support, general sales support and for all those matters you mentioned in your first posts.
sheesh,

well peeps, hear this: you would not experience a "technical problem" (sw,fw etc) if your not using a high technical phone.
would you suffer from viruses if your using a typewritter (instead of a pc?)
i rest my case 8: |

Have they not noticed there is now a complete industry in replacement Nokia screens!!
Then theres the 8310 which is so bug ridden companys in the uk don't exchange them anymore as the one they replace it with will also be bug ridden!!!!!

@hymie/the jackal: A significant portion of posts in this forum site are SE mobile phone/service complaints, which can reflect SE's inconsistencies in quality. Nokia/etc does not necessarily make better phones than SE, they just have better customer support. That won't convince me to buy a Nokia though. :-o
