My mother has a birthday soon so i need a new mobile for her. |

As far as i'm a mobile phone addict i have a million and one idea about what should it be but... I want to ask you. Because I didn’t tried every sing phone on this planet and I need to know how fast is the menu and so on.
She uses some old crappy Nokia now; I think it is worth 50 usd or something  SO it’s really the time to buy a new one...
First problem is that I’m a little bit limited from financial point of view and has something near 400 usd, yet it doesn’t mean that the phone should cost 400 usd.
The problem is I work as a product designer and a see all the plusses and minuses about each model but my mother I believe couldn’t understand it, she also couldn’t completely understand something beautiful behind usual design like in SE K610 but if there are some swarovski used or the phone is considered to be fashionable even if it is crappy like
Samsung SGH-E500 she probably will like it. SO from one point of view I want a good mobile phone, and I can see the quality in many models she liked is worth nothing, but from other point it is a present for her so may be I should turn a blind eye on it and buy something for it-girls.
My mother hardly can write a sms, but she talks much, so we need a good battery, at least something average. She likes taking photos so we definitely need a 1.3 mega pixel camera or higher, she doesn’t watch the pictures anywhere besides her phone so the resolution doesn’t really matter., what does meter is the picture quality. It can be any form factor but se likes candy bars the most. No smartphone.
Something I’m considering:
SE K610 red.
Really like it. I used to use SE before I went for Serene from B&O so I believe it is a good one.
Siemens SL75
LG KG800 Chocolate
Motorola PEBL please do not suggest another Motorola’s I hate the menu and they are really slow, I included pebl because I know she likes it.

Since its her birthday i think its best to get your mother what she likes rather than what you think might be good for her.
Even if its a bad phone like the Pebl which as you say she likes,at least it would put a smile on her face to know that you got her something which she wanted...and thats priceless.

I'd say to get the K610 in Red. Very nice colour if you ask me Suits all her needs, and if she plans never to use 3G, then just switch it off and get even better battery life.

Red K610 or Pink Z610 is the right choice for your mother. I think these two phones will cost not more than 400 USD each.

How about a Z610, it looks good and a little bit rounded like the PEBL it should be a better choice than the K610 since you'd be getting something similar to something she likes.
I don't want a signature anymore. |

I agree with Axxxr, buy her the pebl. If she likes that one that's the one you should get for her, even if you buy her another better phone she may still think that the pebl is better (or nicer).

go with what she likes, buy the pebl even if you dont like it(personally i hate it) buy what she'll like, go with the pebl

Pebl is a hard choice - the camera is very bad and battery time... Does any one has a K610i red photos, not official but something like home made, I would like to see more of the phone. What about the software is it fast?

I visited a mobile store yesterday, and played with every mobile from my list. My mother’s mobile sometime falls on the floor and so on. So I checked every thing from fast menu to built quality and can say that K610i is the best! No i have the following question http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=136653 because when i had a V800 there was a beautiful theme with red balls flying on the screen and on the menu... is it possible to install it in the K610i? |

you can adjust a theme for the V800 to fit the K610i.
the K610i is quite a good phone for its price, battery is very good, cam isn't bad, but not like the K800.
Z610i is very stylish, but the buttons can be difficult for some people.
i think your mother will happy with a phone that last long and does what she needs.
