I bought a new K750i and updated it using the USB cable which came with it and SEUS software from the CD which came with it in the (opened) box.
When I inserted the SIM card and turned it on, it said "Insert correct SIM card" and hanged after few seconds.
I'm nearly sure that I did the update procedure carefully following the guides in the manual and SEUS software itself. I tried it times and times but no good.
My K750i was burned after update! I found out this after I took it to the warranty. The main board and the SIM card IC was burned according to warranty people. They told me that it happened because of non-genuine USB cable which I used.
The USB cable which I used has only 4 metal pins on it (the first pin from left and pins 2, 3 and 4 from right) and thus I think it is not a DCU-60 cable. It has got no marks on it, so it is suspicious. I used it times and times for transferring files between phone and PC and it worked well.
Please help me in finding out the reason.
Is my USB cable genuine?
