Nokia 3250 vs W850 |

My friend wants to buy a phone. His choice is between Nokia 3250 or w850. He asked me of my opinion. I would have told him go for the w850 but would want to justify why it would be best for him to buy what phone. I don't know much about the Nokia 3250. Please send in your contributions. I'll also be greatful to see more technical comparisons. He's dependable on my recommendation. Thanks.

For god's Sake plz dont compare the w850 with the brick 3250 ....
dude i also mistaked 3250 as a very cool phone and gave my w800 to my sis and bought the 3250 ..and really i had a horrid time with it until i sold it for my p990..
Guys the 3250's camera sucks ...no flash , no autofocus well 850 also does not have that too ...
The speaker is no doubt the loudest in the industry but it is also the most unclear..there are noises/disturbances in the speaker unlike the walkman phones who are clear no matter what equalizer setting u r using ..
The sound in earphones is gud only if u use the walkman headphones ..i was lucky becoz i had my w800 headphones to use ..otherwise in its own inear's the sound sucks ..no bass , no clearity ..only loud pitch ..
The vibrator sucks ...
The only thing gud abt this phone is the battery backup ..i can assure u for that ...becoz i have heavy use for phone ..my w800 battery or the standard noka bl-5c(in my older phones) would used to get charged abt 3 times in a day ..even the p990's battery i charge for 2 times sometimes ..but for 3250 i never ever charged the phone 2 times in a day ...amazing battery...
And lastly the back cover is too delicate, i broke it in the second month without the phone being dropped or something like that ..it just broke
do buy the w850 ...its much better ..

yup buy the w850 i bot one last week it works really fine specially the fowward rewind slo mo and videos are awesome specially with the 1gb memory. and my mp4s are really cool. mp4's play as ringing tones wen some1 calls u can show off ur phone. If im in the disco my phones the brightest. its really one great different phone video record a bit blurry not mp4 but ok. cheers

3250 is a symabian, so from a certain point of view its "over" w850, cos of the op system

the inside counts me more then the outside, so i would rather go for the 3250, if i had to choose. w850 is more for fun, with 3250 u have unlimited possibilities to create your own "fone" version, thats the really advantage of symbian fones

Nokia 3250 is a symbian phone but remeber that it only has 10mb of internal memory or something like that which means slow menu and very little capacity for multitasking or heavier apps like symbian 3d games and etc. Its a smartphone but it was not built for office or heavier apps. Besides that its a big bricky phone with strange desing and the camera is not very good. With w850 will have a faster phone with better music organization, more memory, java multitasking, better video playback, better camera,  software (which looks great and its a pleasure to use like we all know) and a better design. What i dont like about the w850 is its flashing colorful lights when playing songs or when somebody calls... im kinda reserved and its just a bit too rich for my taste but if u r ok with it and doesnt mind the camera very much (its better than 3250īs but still not that great) go for w850 and be happy. |

@croatia i dont think thats the right way to talk about nokia, u can love it or hate it, but respect is more important.... and nokia DO deserve it imo

If one has to evaluate or pit a product against another one should try and be objective and put preferences aside. I agree with you boba, give respect where it's due. I love SE but that doesn't mean that I would rate their every mobile as excellent when there are glaring flaws. Some nokias will be better than SEs and vise versa. That's the reality and a fact that some of SE fans ignore. It's called competition!

No respect for nokia from my side friends ericsson made a first cellphone be4 50 years and all time do just electronic ,ericsson first made a camera phone with icons bluetooth mms gprs etc nokia shouldn't be first what is nokia made be4 cellphones? Paper and rest non electronic stuff you know what better than i!but ericsson is still first in network stuff sony is still biger electronic entertaiment company sorry, my mother language is croatian i never learn english in skul, love s.e. And esato of course
