Well, i have aqquired a k800i, but for circumstances beyond my control i cannot return it, although I am happy with it.
I used wonton to debrand it from vodafone, however the core problem im having isnt technical its physical

The screen... or the front of rather is full of what appears to be fingerprints. So on a white background, or grey e.g the music player, its like a mini rainbow effect galore, you can see all the screen pixels :/

Its definately smudges as far as i can see, there dont appear to be any scratches. Thing is if these are smudges, why dont they come off?!
Ive tried water, tissue, lcd repair liquid (for removing scratches) but it doesnt work... Rubbing my finger over them just adds more blurriness and licking the screen (yuck i know but im desperate here ) seems to suppress them a bit but when the wet dries the screen is once again caked in rainbowness.
Id attach a photo but my camera doesnt seem to show the rainbow effect, or else the screen is too bright (even at 50%) to see anything in th ephoto.
Its driving me mad so can somebody please suggest a ultra powerful fingerprint remover show-stopping solution, or is there a way i can replace the entire outer chassis or what can i do?

I cant imagine im the only one in this situation? If the previous owner before me got it in this state she must have done so doing something, but what i do not know. Im starting to think they thought it was a fingerprint reader instead of a phone :/

Help and suggestions as the most economical path to take would be greatly appreciated as otherwise im loving the k800i.

Try something alcohol-based on it, like isopropyl alcohol (as found in medical swabs). Also try using a microfibre cleaning cloth, such as comes with glasses on it too.

These marks are on the outside aren't they, and not the inside? If on the inside it might suggest someone's had the phone open, to replace the screen for example, but been a bit careless in where their fingers have been!

should be on the outside, cuz when you livk it ... well , you know what happens, but something happens! Is the suface as smooth on that place as on the rest of the screen? or what do ou feel? if it IS smooth, yeah perhaps it's on the inside.
