My SE friends seen a knowledgeable lot! Due to the fact that BT can offer no support regarding the use of fax machines I wondered-
Has anyone managed to get a Brother FAX-1940CN machine to work over Broadband Talk? If so, PLEASE share the settings with me!
There are two computers sharing a Voyager 220v hub, the settings for the hub have been set to a higher bandwidth and the fax machine has been set to 9600 bps but still get a Comms. error when trying to send.
If I could get the ****** thing to just send faxes I would be one happy bunny! Any help apreciated!

From the BT website:
You must first access the configuration manager of your Voyager 220V. To access the router configuration manager open your web browser and type http://voyager220v.home into the address bar. For the Voyager 2500V you must type http://voyager.home into the address bar. Select the voice quality tab along the top menu and select High Bandwidth 106kb/s. This will configure your Broadband Talk line for FAX service. The router and its settings are pre-configured for full functionality and do not need to be adjusted for general use.

Thanks for the info but as my original post, I have already configured for high bandwidth.
