Hi!

I can upgrade tomorrow and am with Vodafone UK!

I am thinking about the V1605 but wonder if it is better to get the unbranded Tytn.

Has anyone got experience with the Vodafone V1605? Is the Vodafone branding 'over the top' or just start up and shut down screens ?

I am also thinking to port my number and go elsewhere but not so sure about that yet!

I know I askd this about a month ago, but things change ! So any updates welcomed !

Any comments welcomed!

Hi masseur!

Yes, Wiki has been down for most of the afternoon.

The upgrade quote was 180 pounds but maybe I can push them a bit !

I'd hope you can get it for less than that these days. but thats voda for you and I'm glad I'm not with them anymore.

looks like my link is active again now so you can see what I'm on about. most people say the i-mate firmware is the best.

Hi!

yes I will push them a bit and threaten to leave ! I could port my number to O2 but don't think it has the TyTn yet, but I can see something similar.

O2 XDA Orbit but need to check that out. O2 site says a November release..

Thanks for the link I can see a Docomo rom there too! But I don't think that would be so useful.

I want to put Japanese input and think I know how to do that now... but still a bit daunting!

Thanks again!
