Right just wanting some honest opinions on the Nokia 8800 really. I really like them and even though they dont have all the modern features and top specs i still could see myself using one.
Would you recommend one of these? I currently have a P990i which is fantastic but sometime the size just gets to me just want something i can slip in my pocket easy and 8800 really stands out.
Any comments would be great.
Thanks |

I've had a couple of 8800 and regretted both. just got caught up in the hype
if you want something more pocketable than the P990 there are a whole load of much better and more capable and stylish choices for less money
actually, I saw my first Motorola Z1 KRZR yesterday and was fairly impressed by that but if you want a stylish, pocketable SE how about a Z610 or white M600?

lol 6230i is my work phone at the minute so i know exactly what they are like.
Hmmm has given me something to think about. I suppose there are alot better phones about, its just like you were saying i may be getting caught in the hype.
Thanks for the comments if anyone has anything else to add that would be great.

remember also that the 8800 is 18 months old and even Nokia are trying to revive sales with their latest scirocco variant much like moto keep reviving the V3 which is even older!

Yeah i know it is pretty old now.
Is this scirocco any better because i know they did improce the specs abit. Doesnt it have a 3MP cam now and what about storage?

i've had 3 and sold all 3...
the bog standard 8800 is missing something.. as for what i dont know.
the sirocco on the other hand is a little breath of fresh air.. its now got a 2mp cam and 128mb of internal memory...
as masseur said there are plently and plently of small pocketable phones out there...
take the 8100 pearl for example.. thats tiny...
fatreg

vertu lol alittle more expensive then the 8800 though.
I have been looking at the 8800 SE and my god they are expensive lol i really do like them though but even on cntract they are rediculous. Making me want one more though even if i may be disapointed when i get it. |

Nah Sirocco is a glorious phone, a nice tribute to it's predecessor but they always say first time round is best!
It's worth picking up a cheap 8800 off KK or something just to see and if you fancy the different design and extra mem with camera then get it on contract!
