DRM Packager Help |

Hey everyone..
I was wondering if someone could help me out with the DRM Packager and my phone. I own a SE w300i, and was told that I would be able to create mp3 ringtones with the help of the DRM program. I downloaded the program and was able to create .dm files on songs, but how do I go about transferring these songs onto my phone? I've been going right click, then go to 'send to' and click on the F: drive which would be to my phone. The song then gets sent.
When I go to my phone after though, the file ends up being only in my mp3 walkman area and I can hear the song only as an mp3. The song is not listed in my file manager at all. When I try to find more information on the song in my phone, it is listed as an 'mp3' rather then .dm as well. Can anyone help me out here? Thanks!

It will be an mp3 file. The digital rights code will be embeded into it.

I created a couple of ringtones recently out of some fav U2 songs.
Having run them through the DRM software, I sent them to my V800 by going as far into the phone as possible, ie:
Removable Disk F: >> MSSEMC >> Media Files >> Audio >> Ringtones.
(The ringtones folder is one I created in my phone in the SOUNDS Menu)
You dont need DRM for listening to MP3 files in the Media Player, only if you want to use the files as a ringtone. Your network would rather you bought a DRM locked ringtone from them.
Anyway, my U2 ringtones are visible in the Media player AND the SOUNDS >> Ringtones folder.

For the DRM Packager, what is the Mime-type supposed to be for the converted mp3 file? mine is currently set on audio/mpeg, but I noticed there are a whole bunch of choices. I still cannot find my songs on my phone except for on the walkman mp3 section, and for those songs there's no option of using them as a ring-tone. I would really appreciate any help. Thanks |
