is it possible to totally format my phones software ( R1BC002 ), and then install it back again??
apparently, my lcd been having problems, its like it got overbright and can barely see the texts. just want to make sure either its a software or hardware problem.

I don't know about that, but you can update your firmware using SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Service), FAR, Wotan, Da Vinci or etc... I'm curently running R1BC002 so I've not tested the newer firmware versions to tell you if they work good, but I'm planning to update it soon. Anyway, my sugestion is to update it, not to "re-install" it.

yeah,kinda id update it..but somehow my screen kept being REALLY bright!
i didn't drop it or anything like that, it just happened suddenly..
i thought maybe its a software problem..
:S
thats why i want to reinstall it..
but now,after updating everything and with the problem still persist, i think maybe the lcd is faulty somehow

Well you can adjust the screen brightness at the brightness option which can be found in the display/settings in the menu. If this helps you, otherwise it could be solved by changing the display. | |
