hey,
yesterday i bought my new w850i ! for the time being it seems great !
well the camera isn't that great ! but the phone looks great ! and the new walkman ROCKS !

but it seems that there's a problem in the phone ! first it's made in china ?!?
should i be worry about that !?! or it's fine ? the second thing is that inside the walkman key ( the orange key upside the play/stop button) there are some spots it seems like glue spots ( you won't notice it if you won't turn on the walkman ) ( then the keys will become orange, or blue if you have the white color ) am i the only one ! is it a normal thing ! please help !

The 2 glue spots are on mine. It must be where the walkman button fits into the casing. Nothing to worry about.

Most SE's i've owned and seen were not made in china. Mine and my friend's K700 was made in Korea and my W800 was also somewhere other than china.

I too have a white W850i. I believe the spots you mention are certainly not glue spots. On mine there are two main lights on the orange Walkman button and a total of 3 or 4 orange circles. One on the left-hand side, one on the right-hand side and two in the centre of the button that are kind of stuck together. I do believe, this is normal.

My phone was also made in China and I too found that a bit of a problem. However I was informed that all W850 phones are made in a SE factory in China, so hopefully this should not be a real cause for concern.

As for the light-changing navigation buttons, this is meant to be like that.

I do have a question for polish_boy, though. Does the battery cover on your white W850i hold 100% firm or it budges just a tiny bit up and down and left to right whithout any danger of being accidentally opened?

Cheers.

My black W850i also has spots showing when the Walkman button is pressed. They show up through the backlight. Not sure where it was made as i never bothered to check.
