Hey guys/gals. I'm having trouble with the voice control function offered by my w810i when paired with a HBH-660 headset.

I've been able to pair the two devices together, but I cannot get the Magic Word or Voice Answer/Reject to work with the headset. The functions work when I plug in my HPH-70's. I have to push the button on the headset to activate Voice dialing (which works), but can' t go any further.

WHen I go to settings ->voice control-> voice answer -> edit environments-> I see portable handsfree and car handfree. Are neither of these the HBH-660? How can I get it to work.

Does the HBH-660 show up as an accessory? I'm trying to get the phone to switch to the Handsfree profile when it connects to the phone (like it would with the HPH-70's).

I know I haven't done the best job in explaining my situation, but I can answer questions as needed. I would really appreciate any help. Thanks.

Bah, I just received a definitive answer on why neither of the above works.

I called sony and they said that the w810i can NOT do magic word, voice answer/reject via bluetooth headset.

Thats rather deceptive marketing by SE. I could've sworn that when I bought the phone I was lead to believe that the phone had this function.

They didnt support it for bt headsets as the headset would need to be transmitting and receiving all the time which would drain the battery on the headset very quickly.
