Hi im new to this forum and i need some help with my K800, ive been searching around for days now and have got no luck

2 days ago, it crashed and turned off and wouldnt turn back on again, so i found a tutorial on how to update the EROM on wotanclient, i did this and it worked fine.

Yesterday the same thing happened again and now the Wotanclient wont work. It recognizes the phone but i get this message

Connect you phone, pressing "C"
Waiting
Phone Found
DB2020 detected
Loader: OK
FC ID:20 19
Connecting to server
Connection OK
Sending Login
Login Ok
EROM:Starting Upgrade
EROM: Done
Error:
SEMCSEC Status 3
==Failed==
Duration: 00:04

When i put it on to charge, it just vibrates and displays a white screen. If i take the battery out and put the charger in, it displays a white screen. And if i try and turn it on without the charger and with the battery in, the infared light flashes.

I hope someone can help me.

Thanks

Hi.

Is it still under warranty?

You might have to send it to a service centre. I would try using a different client first, such as Da Vinci.

You took the battery out and THEN put the charge in? Whoa!!!

Don't tell them that if your going to go down the warranty route.

software reflash may work, or it may NOT work....try it on davinci or something, if it doesnt work, take to a service centre and pay a little as you dont have a receipt....unless you go back to the store you got it form and get another one

Thats what I was thinking. Some stores offer their own warranty.

The same thing happened to my S700i once and I brought it back to the store and they reflashed it perfectly for me. They didn't even ask for the warranty or receipt because they had the purchase details on their database.

Anyone here know if I can re-flash a CID49 BROWN phone to fix the same issue? Have a K790i Prototype which is now struck down with the WSOD, waiting on SETool to get their server straightened out so that I can get it converted from BROWN to RED in order to update the firmware, but since the phone is now Completely dead, I was wondering if I can use credits from someone else to at least bring it back to live.

Thanks

I am wonderin' why they will STILL be needing the receipt if it's under warranty . . . I mean they should have a RECORD of the warrantied fones (IMEI) on the database . . .

@vinyl - Regarding the receipt . . . I guess you can go back to the store where you purchased it and then request for a 2nd receipt . . . all they will ask from you are some pertinent details, like: name, addy, date of purchase and IMEI of you fone.

You just have to start somewhere inorder to apply for your fone's - WARRANTY . . . Good Luck ! [addsig]
