My computer wont allow me to change it from txt to imy

That's possibly cos you're using Windows XP? It automatically hides the extension of most file types. You need to make it show them by browsing in explorer to the file in question, then click
Tools > Folder Options > View tab > Advanced Settings
Scroll down through the options and ensure Hide extensions for known file types is unchecked
Now you will see the file with the extension .txt simply right click, rename, delete .txt and replace with .imy or .emy, depending on the ringtone type.
