na its a stuck play/stop button which i need to fix.

it was jammed by the service centre fellow when i got the upgrade done.

noticed it recently since i never used that button.
it seems to be the cause for my restart and switch off problems.

just an upgrade and the button was stuck? hhmmmm malicious upgrade i might say.

they dont hafta open the darn unit if you only want an upgrade.. why not bring it back to them... that sounds much safer than opening it yerself... atleast you gots them to pay incase they break the whole unit.

the problem is they had upgraded the phone and the fools left a huge fingerprint on the inside part of the screen....
can u imagine such shit service ..... u can find it only in India
i gave back the phone to get it cleaned n then this button problem...
its better not to give it to them rather then them spoilin things more

im sure it wont be too complicated once its opened up.... if it doesnt work will take it to another service center

its all done
i opened it with a T6 and a flat screwdriver.
got the button thing sorted out inside
the only prob is that the mem stick m2's cover is connected from within so it keeps hangin from inside makin it little difficult to work
but things cleared now so feelin better

How did you open the case after removing the four screws?

I don't yet have a t6 screwdriver, so I can't get the torx screws out just yet, but I will get one tomorrow.

I want to change the faceplate of my k800 since the screen cover has gotten too worn. I bought a replacement case from eBay, but it didn't came with any instructions at all. If any of you has seen k800 opening instructions, please let me know where to find them. My google karma is bad today.

well my friend, take comfort in the fact that youre not alone. When I had my backlight issue fixed in a shop downtown where they just crack your device open and solder this and that and bam! it's fixed (at that time, no spare foil assembly was available at the official dealers here), they also left an ugly fingerprint on the underside of the front cover

glorfingal: I've searched that forum, but I can't seem to find that topic. Do you remember the topic or something that makes it easier to locate?
