Thanx cytech!

But Why do u keep telling everybody to use the searchfunction, why bother answering?. Let someone else answer. As there are alot of newbees around, I suppose they appreciate the same question cooming up again.

Didnīt mean to be unpleasant, just wondering.
Anyhow, Thanks

Is it really worth butchering the language and write like this
"jst lv it to srvce cntr"

How hard can it be to use those 5 extra letters to make proper words out of it ?

@captain

to add:
if your a Filipino (where we are the text capital of the world) we are used to shortening the words. Just like machine steno...we use sound
to spell out the words

ex: late = L + 8 (w/c is eight)
your = ur
you = u
there = der
that = dat

& we often delete the vowels or some consonants

receive = rcv
text = txt
when = wen
--------

we shorten it coz (cause) to make it easy to reply when using a mobile.

well here, we usually sent around 50 sms a day or 1500 a month...& 1 sms cost us P1 (P53=US$1)...we need to shorten our message to at least 160 characters (w/c is the equivalent of 1 SMS)...coz 1 SMS is very expensive for us...so 1500sms is around US$28
