Dead W810i. help needed ( |

I ran the Sony Ericsson software update program for my W810i, as I have done before, however, this time it stopped half way. I was using Virtual PC on my Mac which was probably a bad move. I think that Windows lost the USB connection with my phone during the phone's software installation. Now the phone will not turn on. It is not recognised by my Mac's OS X or Virtual PC as a USB device, and nothing happens when I plug in the power cable.
Is there any way I can restore my phone, or what can I do to save it? |

I called SE and they did tell me to send it away to them. I chose to exchange it as part of my Orange contract - they delivered a new handset (the next day) before taking away the old one |

Considering I messed up the original one by not updating it correctly, I can't complain. Orange were great. Shame about the Orange branding on the new phone though |
