I have found a homepage that makes extra shells for protection around phones. What is your experiences about transparent shells around the phone? Should one get something like this for extra scratch protection?

I am not advertizing I just want to know is these things good for the phones or not.... Does anyone have something else that you rekommend?

The phone I have now, which is one year old now has alot of scraches. Both on the screen but also on the phone itself. I do not want scratches on new phone I will get soon. So what do you recommend me to get for the phone so that it does not get scratched. At the same time be able to have to phone in you pocket.

I simply avoid putting my phone in the same pocket as keys, coins, etc. Works pretty well for me, I think that many cases tend to do more damage than good, trapping bits of dirt and dust which then rub against the facia and the screen covering them in thousands of tiny scratches and wear marks!

Just don't put the phone with any objects that could scratch it. Simple! That's also what I do. Just put it in the pocket away from keys etc.

I have had a number of mobile phones and I have never used any form of scratch protection. The only thing I do to avoid scratches is to avoid dropping the phone and not to keep the phone in a pocket or a place where there are other things, like keys or coins that can scratch the phone. OK, the phone will eventually get "battle scars" after a while, but who cares? After about two yesrs, you want a new phone anyway, because the current one has become outdated, and there is not much of an aftermarket either. A two-year old model can be bought with a pre-pay SIM or an operator contract for almost nothing.

Best thing to do is be a liitle more careful. Especially if you have a touchscreen model. Use the stylus with ease and no force.
If you can't do that get a screen protector. Easy.

Hi all,
Well the only thing i can say is all of my phones go in a nice quality leather case and i usually try and get a design that allows me to use the phone whilst still in a case. My case of choice is Krusell and all i can say is every phone i have had has always been able to be sold as mint i have never put a phone in my pockets as i prefer to attach it to my waist band or belt for ease of use.
