Maybe on the phone it shows as 1 sms but you sure wasn't sending that as a 1 sms message via network lol, trust me the operator networks are not stupid and they are not going to let you send sms for free. Well anyways it's not free in the UK anyways it will either cost you or come out of your free monthly sms usage.

 | @daloATF on my p990i,it shows how many characters i typed and how many sms it took because of the characters. Here in saudi even though i used more than 160 characters they will less my load equal to 1 only but in the philippines more that 160 characters is already equal to 2 sms it may also depend on the network.

 | i think different phone models have different settings that count as one sms. anyway it cost mobile fone companies almost nothing to send a text so allowing two due to the phones configuration isnt harming them much. it might also depend on what network you are with |

 | its dead easy to do that!
all u need is access to the Message Centre, Log in codes and the ability to change certain settings...

once u got all these all u need to do is re-write the message centre controls and unlimited size sms are urs for no extra cost!

 Easy peasy me thinks!

 | heres a little tutorial for yeh
Read the post i made above... once u find these come and tell me and i'll give you six pieces of gold, then u need to take these gold pieces to the man at the market who will give you the correct re-written code and then all you need to do is go to your nearest local SMSC (short Message Service Centre) and insert this code in your mailbox (this will be allocated in rack 45 on row 3, its the small black box with 'I cant believe you have thought this would work' wrote on it)

 Then your set to go....

 | oh my god! the reason why i didnt giv u a real answer is because u CANNOT DO THIS! IT IS DOWN TO THE NETWORK! NOT YOU!
 Now jus either...

 1. Cut your messages down to below 160.... or
 2. Spend the little bit extra and send more than one!
