Hi there,
My sisters beloved W550i decided that it would (literally) break in half the other day.
The LCD side screws of the swivel mechanism worked themselves undone and detached itself.
After many heated arguments with the local phone shop manager that "No, we did not pull it apart." We could not get the phone repaired under warranty. Despite the fact that a technician for another carrier said that they may have vibrated loose and they could fix it under warranty.
Anyway, the problem I have is that one of the two flexible cables have been damaged, severing about 5 wires. Soldering didn't work as the wires were far too small. I can get replacements through www.cnn.cn, however.
Does anybody know which connector goes where? I would try trial and error, but by the looks of the grounding pins the phone has to be completely together to switch on.
Any help would be awesome.
