Hello all,
I have sold a phone in this forum.
What is the best/normal transaction procedure?
How do you ensure the other party sends the money?
How does the other party ensure that you send the equipment?

First you have to have good references here in esato or at ebay, so you can be trusted. Never send first goods if the buyer doesn't have good reference. Best and safer transaction procedure would be the bank transfer. Thats for a start patrioti

How do you go about getting/giving refs on here?
I've done a few deals on here but ain't got a clue about refs here, it's not quite the same procedure as some other forums i use.

When you have done a deal, you go to http://www.esato.com/board/viewforum.php?forum=19 where you can enter the buyers or sellers name and either a positive or a negative depending on how you feel about the deal. Hopefully, the other person will do the same and you build up feedback. CAn I just say you need to go to the last page on the first thread and enter your details there.
That's the first place most established buyers/sellers head for when looking at a deal.

Esato does not have a dedicated feedback feature like Ebay because it is not predominantly a trading site. Instead, members post a reply in the A-Z of trusted traders thread to leave feedback. MikLSP periodically updates the first few posts in the thread to form a list of members with their positive and negative feedback scores, along with the names of the members who have left feedback for that particular person.
When you leave feedback by replying to the A-ZOTT thread you should include:
-The members name who you wish to leave feedback for (preferably spelled correctly!)
-Your feedback, either a positive or negative
-A brief statement as to why your feedback is positive or negative. For positive feedback, the statement is optional but for negative feedback, you MUST explain briefly what happened.
For example:
'Big positive for masseur please, item arrived quickly and very well packaged'
or just
'Positive for masseur please'
For negative, something like this:
'A negative for cycovision please. He said he would post the item immediatley but after three weeks, the item has still not arrived and he is ignoring my emails.'
That's just for example of course, I assure you I am a trusted trader on here
