Hello everybody!
I just wanted to spread the word about a very useful 3,5mm adapter i found after bit of effort.
It looks like this:

I bought two of these myself around a half a year ago, and they're still going strong. Perfect for my own headphones!

The store on ebay.de is called tecplay-de, and you can find it here.
For those of you outside of Europe; too bad, the seller doesn't ship to the rest of the world!

Quite compact but will it be more vulnerable to damage (in the pocket) than the adaptors with the short lead?

Great to be able to use decent headphones, I got two when I had my K750, one with a very short lead and one with a longer lead with a mic in the plug so you could use normal headphones as a handsfree kit, was better with a head phones set that had a short lead otherwise you had about 1.5m of lead! lol

I had a similar one. It lasted for about a week, then it did not want to stay in the connector of the phone anymore, after I accidentally tried to insert the plug upside-down.
There is a major design flaw with this plug: The Jack is placed on the wrong side (to the right) instead of to the left, which makes it impossible to insert it in the back of the charger plug (CST-75).

Either way this design still forces your earphone jack's plastic to bend when placed in your pockets. They should have made the 3.5mm jack ontop rather than on the side, that way nothing bends.

OMG, I have inquired about this design many times without much luck. Does anyone have a link that will ship to the US?

i agree with Ben,

however Se must include 3.5mm slots in their new walkman phones
800i mods: anti-hiss & increase earpiece + joystick cap(no hole). so slick

Hi Ben-,

I don't think fitting the 3.5mm socket that way would work so well, as the actual socket itself is quite long to acomodate the 3.5 plug plus then there are solder points at the end of that making the socket even longer,

so would actually end up looking more like this.

the inline short lead idea probably is the best compromise.
Hope this helps!
