For years I've been enjoying the show Have I Got News For You on the Beeb. Even though it is sometimes hard to follow for foreigners (Dutch) like me because of the fact that a.) the show goes speedily and b.) knowledge of internal matters.
Still I was flabbergasted that Angus was axed from this show this week because of his sexual antecs. To all british readers in this forum I would like to say:
WE ARE LIVING IN THE 21TH CENTURY !!
Or in Dutch/Scandinavian/Continental-mode: Who cares what one does in his spare-time!!
Hoping to see Angus Deayton again, soon.

Yeah i respect Angus for what he did! It doesn't matter what he's like out of work when at the end of the day he's funny as f**k and he's the only man good enough to host the show

He should NOT have been sacked! It makes no sense.
He was probably only sacked because there is another TV "personality" here who has been accused of rape. The papers seem to be saying the two are about the same... but they're not.
Angus's wife has known all about his "hobbies" and is still with him, so what has it got to do with the BBC?
