Apple will release two mobile phone models in the first quarter of 2007, according to Prudential Equity Group analyst Jesse Tortora.
ESATO NEWS
Both will have iTunes support for music playback, while one will also have video capabilities, Tortora said in a note to investors.
'We have learned that one model will be a smart phone, including integrated keyboard, video and music capability, while the other model will be a slimmer phone with music capability,' he wrote. 'At least one of the models will include WiFi.'
He added that his sources indicate that initially Apple will produce limited quantities of the phones to test the market.
'Although these phones represent significant upside earnings potential for the company, there are some concerns regarding market acceptance and battery life, given the number of functions included in the phones,' Tortora said.

@ Fatreg...
Wouldn't that severly decrese sales?!
Although I wouldn't ever get one nor an Ipod, like the Ipod it needs to work with Windows since Windows users massively outnumber Mac users.

Doubt it will look anything like that, that is a mock up made ages ago. Cross between ipod and T610. I will cry if it is like that.

Yeah but Apple products aren't that great visually anyway, and well that looks like your usual Mac so it wouldn't surpise me...

Interesting, one is going to have video capabilities? What about the other one, haven't all phones being doing video for the last 3 years? Can't see Apple releasing a low end phone.
I don't want a signature anymore. |

Hi all,
Seeing as how Mac's now run Intel Processors and even come loaded with Software giving them the ability to run Windows. not forgetting of course Apple are going to want to sell as many of these as they can i would imagine and hope it will be Windows compatible but would imagine downloaded Music and Video would need to come from iTunes and run apple formats only.

Xugaa,
what do u mean apple products arent that great visually??? Appleīs design is one the finest in the world, just at the ipod, the imac, the mac pro, the macbooks... no company has a design like appleīs, some people actually buy its computers just because of their design. are u on dope?????? |

@Xugaa,
You have to be blind dude. Apple products win awards for design. Look at the entire laptop collection or the G5. They are beautiful and there is no Dell, Gateway, PC, etc..... that can match an Apple product in its design.

While I can understand your sentiment, I think Apple would be shooting themselves in the foot. Sure, why not give Windoze users a taste of the high-life. Apple is going mass market. The Intel processors are proof of this. Why do you think M$ is implementing this authenticity initiative? Who needs a Dell (Windows runs faster on a Mac than a Dell by the way), when I can bootleg a copy of Windows and run it on my Mac. The PC makers are scared sh$#less over this. Better get out your anti-virus software for Mac OS X. Apple is going big time.

Apple is going mass thats true but even with windows installed on your macīs HD the mac os x partition still is imune to viruses, since there are no viruses for mac os x. Sweet |
