HPM-70's vs k800i standard headset/earphones |

Hey guys, well upon trying a friends 70's on my k800i, i came to base a personal opinion that the earphones are naff.
I personall think they lack bass in comparison to the standard supplied earphones.
Overall i think the sound is 'clearer' however, i seriously think they lack the bass compared to the standards.
i even tryed fidiling about with the EQ settings, but to no avail.
i think the standard ones (although not as clear) are overall much better.
I suppose my mates 70's could be knackered or something. but from what i listened to on them, i didnt like them one bit.
I know the k800i isnt a walkman phone, but i expected the sound quality to be at least half decent tbh
(and listening to the same song etc on k750i & k800i through standard earphones, i think they are actually very very similar)
I guess im expecting too much out of these phones since im used to the amazing quality from my combination of ipod 30gb 5g + phillips surround sound earphones.
but none the less since the 70's retail at £29.99, they should be good quality, but i find they are not.

I don't know what's wrong with them, but the 70's have a really good sound, better than your philip's IMO.
So yea, i quess the 70's of your friend are crackled or not authentic... becouse the 70's sound WAY better than the standart K800 ones.

The hpm70 are awesome , this is true , the k800i has crap audio quality compared to w800i k750i wseries , and thats true

i tryed my mates earphones of his 70' on my ipod, and ive came to the conclusion his earphones are effectively dying.
I tryed plugging my phillips surround sounds into the 3.5 adaptor, and then obviously into the phone.
Tbh i would say the quality is on par with my ipod. and the sound is MUCH much louder when using my phillips earphones. (compared to the standard headset)
as for the sound volume, id say obviously its much louder when using real earphones with the phone instead of the standard ones.
BUT
in terms of ipod vs k800i, the ipod wins, but the k800is volume is more then acceptable IMO. | |
