At the same time the first spy shots of the pretended k850i appeared there was also this pic.
it was announced as p3i. but anyhow, if you compare this picture to the actual backside of the p1i you will see that the similarities are vast!
so i gess that the pictures of the k850i are also quite accurate.
however, i gess that these 4 phones will be announced: K850i, W890i, W910i, M610i and a new Bluetooth watch.

if that is the new K850i i dont think i'll buy it,keys look too small,it hasnt got soft keys. |

^^ they are trying, but if they havent read "every" post then they may have some crossing information ... which without the proper filter (research/reading) itll pop up like this.
the excitement is palpable at this point, i really want a smoother looking button interface, i hope that they have done some public aesthetic testing, and dont have that green ring around the camera ... what was that? |

The P1 isn't the P990's successor.
You can think of the P1 as a new branch of the UIQ touchscreen (a mix between a M600 and P990) family tree.
There have been rumours of a true successor to the M600. It was said to be cancelled and lately the rumour came back from the dead, but nothing more than that.
As for the P990's little brother, you could expect something to be announced in Q4 2007 and to be released in 2008.

New joiners should HAVE TO read the thread from the beginning so we are more or less talking about something having more or less the same background.
Someone should work on such forum app: it would let you see the page number 2 of a thread only after you have spent a certain amount of time on page 1 and so on.

Of course, this coming announcement is very important to us. Who would not be confused if suddenly the phones that we expect to be announced that day might not be announced.

Hmm I'm not a single bit interested in the P990i's littlebrother - it's the bigbrother that's interersting
Still hope that they'll show something the 14'th that hasn't been shown here on esato already - the chance is little I'm afraid...
And that it will be my new replacement for my trusty P900 - if not the P1i certainly looks sweet but I just dont know if I can get along with the keys - maybe I just need the flip to sms and make phonecalls? It's just that the size of the P1i is so very nice - small just for the pocket |

When i first saw it i was disgusted...but, now i feel completely different. If K850 is similar to that photoshop creation, then it will be great:)
It looks matured, refined and powerful. And i bet the build quality will be very very high. Nice solid glossy finishes etc.
Can't wait to see it
