Hi,

I recently upgraded all of works mobiles to k800i's and setup e-mail access on them to pop3 download from the works mail server.

Now this works perfectly fine apart from one problem. When you do a "send and receive" to get new messages, you get a list of messages, but all of them say "no subject" but the senders name is displayed.

Like this :-

(no subject)
Bob Smith
(no subject)
Karen Warden
(no subject)
Phil Gardner

etc etc

Anyone any idea why?

Thanks in advance

Its not that no one has put no subject. I am talking about _ALL_ emails on _ALL_ of our k800's. They all say "no subject" of course I have sent a message myself _WITH_ a subject and it comes up as "no subject" on the phone.

All the settings are right, it connects fine and sends and receives e-mail fine, it just won't display the subject!

Please can someone help

@red_rach - is your e-mail from/to the same as your provider ?

I found that e-mail settings from mine (O2) were OK for their e-mail
inbox sendand receive, but wouldn't work for others (in my case Orange
and AOL). I had to enter a DNS address in the internet settings to get it
to work ....
I reject your reality and substitute my own.

@red_r how bloody annoying 4 ya,most likley u erased the correct settings thats all, if u have alot of accounts and settings in ur phone 4 the EMAIL settings from previous attempts you should delete all of these and start all settings fresh again 4 EMAIL,write down what u need 2 b 4 ,put all ur settings in ur phone the same az the pc, same email acc and password etc, then call ur network provider and cofirm all of what u have entered is valid and correct az they may need to send out a setting/settings by sms,or they will more than likley have 2 activate ur email on ur phone, hope this helps and u get it up n runnin, not nuch 2 it really just activation, and correct address"s that all

most, if not all settings for wap etc can be found on

http://www.filesaveas.com

've used them many a time when the isp, provider etc have let me down !!!

I've also found that entering the username and password in both
incoming server and outgoing server can help - this is usually more
beneficial for non provider accounts, e.g. I'm with O2 and the
username and password trick works great for my Orange e-mail
account settings on the phone.
